About us.

Covenant Chapel is a Member Church in the North America Presbytery East (NAP East). On February 9th 2025 we particularized, going from being a mission church (an unorganized church with no elders) to a particular church (an organized church with elders). We were formally received into the NAP East and became an independent Mission Church September 12th 2023. We began as the EM of First Korean Presbyterian Church of Greater Hartford (FKPC) serving many years in interdependent relationship with FKPC in missions and various ministries.

Covenant Chapel’s session consists of our Teaching Elder, Rev. Fredick Porter and CC’s Ruling Elder David Cha. CC has three active appointed deacons to care specifically for Covenant Chapel's ministries.

We are reformed in theology and are part of the Korean American Presbyterian Church (KAPC a NAPARC Member Church).

Covenant Chapel has active small groups. We support many long term missionaries. We participate in short term missions. Our demographic is made up of mostly young families, young working professionals, and college students with members who are of 1.5 or second generation Asian American descent.
