Annual Retreat
Our annual retreat is set for Friday-Saturday, October 15-16th, at Lakeside Christian Camp & Conference Center, Pittsfield, MA, with guest speaker Rev. Francis Chang of Sojourner Presbyterian Church, Teaneck, NJ. More details to come. Talk to Deacon Henry Tae if you want to help with the preparation and planning.

Welcome New and Returning Students!
Covenant Chapel welcomes those who are new and returning students, whether undergraduate or graduate students at local colleges and universities. We have many upcoming events to share with you....For those of you at UConn, you're invited to the RUF Freshmen Welcoming Outreach at the Dairy Bar on campus, Monday, August 30th, 6-9pm (free ice cream for UConn students!). And RUF's First Weekly Meeting will be held Thursday, September 2nd, 7:30pm in the Wilbur Cross Reading Room. In addition, CC's Small Group Ministry at UConn is set to launch next week, after Labor Day, September 6th (stay tuned for more details)....For all students from all campuses, we are also planning a Welcoming Picnic at Albert Lee's home on Sunday, September 12th. And CC's First Monthly College Night is set for Saturday, September 25th, 7pm.



Peru Mission (September 5-16)
Please pray for the upcoming Peru Mission, with CC's own Pastor James Park, Dan So, and Michelle Kim planning to go.

All CC members and attendees who use Facebook are encouraged to join the relatively new "Covenant Chapel" organization page (the organization page, not the old group page). It's just a matter of going to the page and clicking on "like." This way, you can have access to ongoing announcements and news and reminders.



Love 146
We are preparing to raise awareness and money for Love146, which partners with churches and others to end global sexual slavery and trafficking. The plan is to run for donations in this year's Hartford Marathon (marathon, half-marathon, and 5k runs are all options). Talk to Salli Shon for more info!

Small Group
Small groups have started, with a study on Ephesians: Building a Community in Christ. Locations include homes in Newington, South Windsor, West Hartford, and Trumbull. We urge you to seek to deepen your relationship with God and his church by joining a small group in your area. These are open to all age groups. Contact Pastor Mike for more info.

College Campus Ride Ministry
Students from UConn, Wesleyan, and Trinity are in need of rides to church and back to their respective campuses every Sunday. If you have a willing heart to serve and a valid driver's license, please contact Dan So to sign up to pick up or drop off these transportation-challenged students, even if it's just once this semester. The church van will be provided whenever possible.
